FROM THE FIELD TO NOUGAT!


In 2016, the Velasco family, owners of Torrons Vicens, launched Ametlles Vicens, a company linked to the territory and to Torrons Vicens, with the aim of guaranteeing the quality of its products by planting almond trees on various farms, and the purchase and processing of almonds, key to making handmade nougat, as we have been doing since 1775.


The almonds of the country, Mediterranean, but especially those of the regions of Urgel, Garrigas, Segarra and Noguera, increase the flavour and prestige of the nougat and, above all, the high quality, and that is why Ametlles Vicens works to boost the cultivation of almonds in these lands, in conjunction with agricultural professionals and farmers in the area.

Thanks to the work of the farmers and with the impetus of Ametlles Vicens, the cultivation of almond trees and future projects help to revitalise the agricultural sector and the territory, while guaranteeing a product of the highest quality.

WE ARE COMMITTED TO PROXIMITY
The project aims to provide Torrons Vicens' production with almonds by creating a specialised centre for local almonds. With this initiative, Torrons Vicens aims to close the nougat production cycle, guaranteeing the traceability of its main raw material, almonds, and achieving maximum quality.  The philosophy of production according to traditional artisan methods and the control of all the production processes allows us to obtain an excellent product.
