Using selected natural ingredients, following in the footsteps of the Agramunt Nougat Masters, and maintaining a formula and a traditional production process that has been passed down from generation to generation, are the reasons that make our Nougat a top quality product. Hazelnuts, almonds, honey, cocoa ... our ingredients, all of the highest quality, are mixed under the watchful eye of the Master Craftsmen, who have owned the Nougat recipe for three centuries.

Our raw materials of excellent quality and proximity are mixed in a process that does not understand time and that nuances each of the flavors with the help of fire and the experience of the Master Craftsmen, testimonies of one of the secrets rather well guarded.

Only in this way do our manufactured products reach the market preserving all their flavor and all their organoleptic properties. With effort and dedication, Torrons Vicens has expanded its range of products.

In addition to nougat, it has incorporated into its catalog a wide range of handcrafted specialties with top quality products. In 2009, the Regulatory Council of the IGP “Torró d’Agramunt” was created, a body that depends on the Generalitat but has decision-making capacity in matters related to its regulations. In 2011, Mr. Ángel Velasco was appointed president of the Regulatory Council.

Different certifications, both internationally and locally, guarantee the quality of our products: ISO 9001: International standard that is applied to the management of the company and the products it produces. This system seeks maximum excellence both in the final product and in the production process.

“Q” Certification : Food Quality Certification granted by the Generalitat de Catalunya to Nougat from Agramunt.

IGP : Protected Geographical Indication awarded to Agramunt Nougat. Seal that guarantees that the products are made in Agramunt and with the highest quality ingredients.

IGPE : European Protected Geographical Indication. The first pastry-confectionery product in Catalonia to achieve this community recognition.

El Torró d’Agramunt has the recognition of the Protected Geographical Indication, a seal that guarantees that the products distinguished with this logo are made in Agramunt.

Tradition and innovation

Torrons Vicens continues today to make the typical Torró d'Agramunt following the same original formulas and processes since its inception in 1775. Innovation has undoubtedly been one of the company's objectives and over time it has added new varieties of nougat that today already reach more than 150 references.

The house specialty is the burnt yolk nougat and our patented creation, the Soufflé nougat, which was created by Maestro Nougat Ángel Velasco in 2013. The traditional Xocolata a la Pedra de Agramunt, the most indigenous and ancient, receives this name not because of its hardness but because of its elaboration since the cocoa bean is crushed on a granite stone until a paste is obtained.

In addition to cocoa, this chocolate contains sugar, rice flour and essence of cinnamon or vanilla. Both its ingredients and its traditional process make this chocolate a unique and original product for making hot chocolate.

Torrons Vicens is also synonymous with innovation in the nougat sector. One of the main objectives of the firm has been to de-seasonalize the consumption of nougat beyond the Christmas period, turning it into desserts that can be consumed throughout the year. Torrons Vicens has not ceased to surprise its most loyal customers by incorporating new features each season.

The RAC1 Solidarity Nougat project is a collaboration between RAC1, Torrons Vicens and the Sant Joan de Déu hospital in Barcelona. Since 2015, thanks to the “El Turrón Solidario RAC1” project, the money raised goes entirely to the Sant Joan de Déu hospital in Barcelona for the study and research of minority childhood diseases.
