Next October 2024 the First National Championship ‘Àngel Velasco master creative nougat’ will be held in Agramunt (Lleida).
Ángel Velasco Pérez became a benchmark in the world of nougat, deseasonalising it and spreading the culture of nougat around the world. For Mr. Velasco, the limit was always in the imagination. That is why, year after year, Torrons Vicens surprises us with novelties that mix fantasy flavours with the most innovative haute cuisine techniques. It is this spirit, which he was able to transmit with such care to his family and his workers, that this championship wishes to pay tribute to, so that his passion for turron continues to spread year after year in all of us.
The aim of the championship is to promote excellence in the production of innovative and creative artisan nougat, made with top quality ingredients.
