The total sum achieved in the six Christmas campaigns held so far, already exceeds one million: € 1,218,521 which are used entirely for research into minority children's diseases, led by Hospital Sant Joan de Déu de Barcelona.

Today, February 12, the program Vostè primer with Marc Giró at the helm, has announced the figure collected in this year's edition of # TurrónRAC1. Jaume Peral, director of RAC1 and the owner of Torrons Vicens, Ángel Velasco, have handed over the € 272,299 check collected during the campaign this past Christmas, sponsored by Clara Segura, to the managing director of the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, Manel del Castillo .

The proceeds will go to the Brain project, which aims to seek new treatments for developing brain diseases. There are many strange childhood diseases that have a neurological effect. The donation will provide an economic boost to the search for effective treatments.

Despite being a year hit by the pandemic, the figure for Nougat Solidarity has grown by € 9,258 compared to last year's results (2019 -> € 263,041). Once again, listeners have shown their solidarity, even in complicated situations. This year more than twice as much has been raised as in the first edition (2015 -> € 120,264 vs. 2020 -> € 272,299).

As every year, two varieties of Turrón Solidario were on sale; the classic hazelnut praline and the creamy almond with "cookies".

Thanks especially to the listeners of RAC1, to the distributors who have participated and to many companies that more and more, add to the purchase of the Solidarity Nougat, for their workers, more than one million two hundred thousand euros, in nothing more than six years, they have been able to deliver to the Hospital of Sant Joan de Deú.
