RAC1's Solidarity Nougat has once again exceeded its target of 289,644 euros raised for minority childhood diseases.

The proceeds from this year's edition will once again go to the Brain project, which specialises in the research and treatment of minority childhood diseases, which affect more than 400,000 children in Catalonia, 80% of which involve neurological problems or neuropsychiatric disorders. An initiative that not only allows the project to continue advancing in various lines of research, but also helps to raise awareness in society of the importance for families of children with rare diseases and to invest in their knowledge and search for effective treatments.

Wednesday, 8 February, the programme Iceland, with Albert Om, announced the amount raised in this year's edition of the RAC1 turrón. Jaume Peral, director of RAC1, and the manager and owner of Torrons Vicens, Àngel Velasco, handed over the cheque for the 289,644  raised in this Christmas campaign to the director and manager of the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital, Manel del Castillo.
