Torrons Vicens receives the Company and Territory award, given by Jove Cambra Internacional de Lleida, that recognizes his participation with the Lleida territory.
Since acquiring the company in 2000 by Master Craftsman Angel Velasco, the innovation of traditional recipes in the development of nougat has been a constant in Torrons Vicens, which has its headquarters in Agramunt (Lleida).
It should be pointed out that the acquisition Xocolata Jolonch Factory and the creation of the Agramunt Museum of Nougat and Chocolate as samples of brand engagement. The purchase, in Xocolata Jolonch case, has avoided the disappearance of 12 jobs.
Xocolata Jolonch is a chocolate factory founded in 1770 and currently integrated into the Torrons Vicens business group. It has renovated facilities making the visit possible to the workshop, where has historical machinery producing the sweet until our days. Also, it has enabled a chocolate shop inside the factory that represents an ideal place to savour this precious food.
The Agramunt Museum of Nougat and Chocolate, which opened on 20th December 2011, has had a great impact on the region of Lleida. Within a few months after its inauguration has become the most visited museum of Urgel with more than 20.000 annual visitors.
The company has managed sell nougat during all the year due to expanding its number of stores. At the present Torrons Vicens has more than 40 stores and its international exports.
